According to multiple reports, Huntington Prep center Ibrahima Djimde has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Illinois this upcoming season. He becomes the sixth member of the Illini’s 2011 recruiting class.
Djimde is originally from Mali and was getting interest from a few mid-major schools. Last season, the 6-foot-9 center averaged 10 points, 8 rebounds and three blocks per game. He also helped lead Huntington Prep to a 25-3 record.
