Goosen, Kim Join Greenbrier Classic Field

 

Two-time U. S. Open winner Retief Goosen has committed to play in next week’s Greenbrier Classic.    Goosen won Open  championships in 2001 and 2004. 

Also, 26-year old Anthony Kim has joined the field.   Kim finished tied for fifth at last week’s British Open.  It was Kim’s fifth top five finish in a major.  

Goosen has won a total of seven PGA events and he joins the list of past major championship winners in this year’s Greenbrier Classic field that also includes Tom Watson, Phil Mickelson, ViJay Singh, Lee Janzen, Davis Love III, Jose Maria Olazabal and Mike Weir. 

Kim has three career wins on the PGA Tour. 

The deadline for players to commit to play in the Greenbrier Classic is 5 p.m. Friday.
