Noreen Breaks Ankle

The Mountaineers will be without one their key bench players for the foreseeable future. In his post game press conference on Monday night, WVU head coach Bob Huggins announced freshman forward Kevin Noreen broke his ankle.

The injury occurred around the 12 minute mark in the first half of the "Backyard Brawl". Noreen was going for the ball as it fell out of bounds and injured his ankle on the play. When he attempted to come get back onto the court he came up limping and was taken back to the locker room with team trainer Randy Meador.

It is unknown how much time Noreen will miss, but he is more than likely out for the remainder of the season. Last year, his missed the majority of the year and received a medical redshirt when he tore his ACL. On the season, he is averaging 2.2 points per game and 2.7 rebounds per game.
