Tinnon & Kane Named To All-Tournament Team

Many Thundering Herd fans may have a new found respect for Marshall guard DeAndre Kane. At times during The Herd’s run through the Conference USA Tournament it seemed Kane was willing the team to continue fighting. Kane certainly left all he had on the floor of the FedEx Forum battling through a lower back issue and exhaustion.
Kane and teammate Dennis Tinnon were named to the All-Tournament team for their performances throughout the tournament. Kane’s numbers should have been impressive enough to earn him Tournament MVP.
Consider Kane played in 165 of the 175 minutes of action Marshall saw. He averaged 22 points per game including a 40 point performance in the quarterfinals in The Herd’s triple-overtime win against Tulsa. DeAndre Kane now 120 points and 36 rebounds in six C-USA Tournament games.
Meanwhile, Dennis Tinnon was a forced to be reckoned with underneath the hoop throughout the tournament for The Herd.
