St. Bonaventure 10 Marshall 8
The Herd let a late lead slip away on Saturday as St. Bonaventure won its second straight over Marshall 10-8 Saturday evening.
Marshall southpaw Mike Mason was in position to pick up the win as allowed just two earned runs on eight hits and struck out eight. However St. Bonaventure would score five times in the top of the seventh inning to take a 7-3 lead.
Marshall would battled back in the home half of the inning scoring five runs of its own to retake the lead 10-8.
However, The Herd’s bullpen couldn’t hold the lead as the Bonnies scored three more times in the eighth inning and salted away the win.

St. Bonaventure 3 Marshall 1
Marshall dropped its first game in its home state 3-1 to St. Bonaventure Friday night at Epling Stadium in Beckley.
Gray Stafford’s RBI double in the eighth inning drove home the only run of the night for the Thundering Herd.
Aaron Blair was effective on the mound tossing six strong innings but was saddled for with the loss. St. Bonaventure plated two runs in the fourth inning and a third in the fifth and that was enough for the win.
Marshall had only run man reach base through the first six innings of play.
