Browne Sidelined For 2-3 Months

WVU sophomore guard Gary Browne will be sidelined for the next 2-3 months after having surgery on his right ankle to repair some internal damage, according to a WVU release. The surgery took place Tuesday morning at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Browne wait waiting until the season was over with to deal with the injury.

Browne played in all 33 games for the Mountaineers this past and was one of the top freshman in the 2011 recruiting class. The Cupey, Puerto Rico native averaged 6.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game this season.

The 6-foot-1 185 pounds point guard was a late signee to the 2011 recruiting class, but made an immediate impact for the team and started a few games towards the end of the season.
