Frazer Named Big East Player Of The Week

West Virginia University baseball sophomore left fielder Matt Frazer was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week for his performance against Villanova last week.

An Alum Creek, W.Va., native, Frazer finished the weekend batting 5-for-11 (.455) with two runs, one double, two home runs and five RBIs. Most importantly, Frazer hit the game-winning home run on the first pitch in the bottom of the 10th inning to defeat Villanova, 6-5, on Saturday. 

On the season Frazer is batting .319 with 17 runs, 14 doubles, four home runs and 17 RBIs. Frazer leads the team in batting average, doubles and home runs.
