Deadly Storm Moves Through West Virginia

One death in West Virginia is being reported, at this point, in connection with the severe storms that moved through the Mountain State Friday night.

Emergency officials say a Pleasants County man was killed when his all terrain vehicle ran into a downed tree early Saturday morning.

In all, the storms claimed at least 13 lives throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.

A member of the state Senate, meanwhile, was injured in a vehicle accident that happened Friday in Summersville in Nicholas County.

Senate President Jeff Kessler says Mercer County Senator Mark Wills was in intensive care, but stable and alert at Charleston Area Medical Center Sunday.

Reports indicate another vehicle ran into his, sending it into a bridge wall during the storms.  Two other people in the vehicle, including his daughter, are said to be okay.
