Statewide Boil Water Advisory

Many West Virginians across the state are being asked to boil their water before using. The West Virginia Bureau for Public Health (WVBPH) Monday issued a boil water advisory for customers of any water system in West Virginia.

The advisory is for people who have experienced low water pressure, cloudy water or a loss of water service following Friday night’s storm.

WVBPH officials say due to the power outages across the state after the storm, many water supplies may be at risk.

It is recommended that water be boiled for at least one minute before using.

The boil water advisory is up until further notice.
