Mayor Of Charleston Has Surgery

The Mayor of Charleston underwent surgery on Friday morning.

A DaVinci robotic prostatectomy was performed on Mayor Danny Jones at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington.

The surgery was conducted by Dr. James Jensen, assisted by his staff and surgical staff at the hospital.

Jones was expected to spend the night and possibly be released as soon as Saturday.

Jones has been dealing with prostate cancer since being first diagnosed on May 14 of this year.
