Two Arrested For 2007 Nicholas Murders

Two Nicholas County men are now facing murder charges more than five years after the crimes.

On Wednesday, Rodney Snodgrass, Jr., 29, from Summersville and Jonathan Fields, 29, from Nettie were arrested for the murders of two people in 2007.

A Nicholas County Grand Jury indicted the two this week.  Snodgrass and Fields are now being held in the Central Regional Jail.

The victims were April Moore, 29, from Nettie and Howard Delp, 73, from Nettie.  They were found beaten to death at Delp’s home on Panther Creek Road on May 28th, 2007.

At the time, investigators said the motives for the murders were likely drugs and robbery.  Delp, they claimed, was a known oxycodone dealer.

Law enforcement officers with the Central West Virginia Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department and State Police have been investigating the murders.
