Big 12 Power Rankings

Kansas State created the first tectonic shift of the Big 12 season — and you get the sense there will be many — by upsetting preseason favorite Oklahoma in Norman.

The Wildcats did it by creating three turnovers, including a strip of Landry Jones near his goal line that resulted in a defensive score and Bob Stoops muttering "that’s bad football" a few times.

Bill Snyder’s crew deservedly zooms to the top spot this week, but remaining there will be difficult: The schedule rotation has K-State playing five road games in the league, including a visit to No. 9 West Virginia (Oct. 20), and back-to-back trips to No. 15 TCU (Nov. 10) and No. 25 Baylor (Nov. 17).
