Cheerleading Coach Facing Sex Charges

The freshman cheerleading coach at North Marion High School in Marion County is out of jail on bond after being arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual abuse.

State Police say Amanda Barker, 31, from Mannington is charged with three counts of sexual abuse by a person in a position of trust to a child.

She is accused of performing oral sex on a 16 year old male student at North Marion High School.

Barker posted $15,000 cash or surety bond after being arraigned on the charges Tuesday.

The State Police Crimes Against Children Unit is leading the investigation.
