42 Years Since Tragic Plane Crash At MU

A ceremony Wednesday in Huntington will mark the anniversary of the 1970 Marshall University plane crash that claimed the lives of 75 football players, staff members and supporters.

The 42nd Memorial Fountain Ceremony is scheduled for noon in front of the Marshall Student Center.

The ceremony will include special speakers, the reading of the names of the victims, the laying of a wreath and 75 roses.

The fountain will be turned off for the year to end the ceremony.
