WVU Women Drop Second Straight

The Iowa women put up 54 second-half points in rallying past No. 12 West Virginia 79-70 in the consolation game of the Thanksgiving Classic.

WVU (3-2), which led 32-25 at the half, lost both games in the tournament despite getting 23 points and nine rebounds from Taylor Palmer. Christal Caldwell was the only other Mountaineers player in double figures with 17 points, but she fouled out.

Iowa (5-2), which shot 50 free throws to WVU’s 29, got 19 points each from Jaime Printy and Morgan Johnson. Printy was 17-of-17 from the foul line.
