This was not the news Marshall basketball coach Tom Herrion wanted to hear as his team prepares to entertain No. 11 Cincinnati this Saturday in Charleston.
Marshall’s leading scorer DeAndre Kane is out indefinitely with a hand injury. That comes as a big blow to a Thundering Herd team that has struggled offensively over the last several games. Kane is averaging 15 points per game and his 8.4 assists per game ranks fourth in the country.
In his last game against Coppin State, Kane dished out 11 assists, his fourth career double-digit assist game and third of the season.
