Watch: Huggins sizes up Radford

West Virginia coach Bob Huggins discusses Saturday’s game against the Radford Highlanders of the Big South Conference, and he even drops the term “neuromuscular integration” as his players practice nearby.

“A lot of dribble-drives, a lot of ball screens,” Huggins said of the Highlanders. “They’ve got really good quickness on the perimeter. They’re really an athletic group, just kind of small.”

West Virginia hasn’t looked like an NCAA tournament team so far, but the season is only one-third complete. With two more games at home before the onset of Big 12 conference play, the Mountaineers have the time and opportunities to turn around the season.

“I think our best win so far is Virginia Tech,” said Huggins, who emphasized that the Hokies could enhance WVU’s profile and RPI by performing well in ACC play. “And I think the Oakland win at the end of the day will be a good win for us. I think they’re a team that could get in their league and win some games.”
