UPDATE: Arrest warrants in Cabell murder case

Murder warrants have been issued for two Detroit men in connection with a Wednesday night shooting death in Cabell County.

Police are looking for Terry “Boots” Morton and Tyerus “Tank” Hayes. They are charged with the murder of Christopher Carter. The 25-year-old Huntington resident suffered three gunshot wounds and died at a Huntington hospital.

Investigators believe the shooting was drug-related. They also say it is likely Morton and Hayes fled the area.

The shooting took place at Forest Bluff Apartments on Beech Drive near East Pea Ridge in Cabell County.

Police have arrested Jonathon Yeager, 24, of Barboursville, on a drug charge. They say he was at Carter’s apartment sometime during the day Wednesday.
