Woman’s body found; boyfriend charged with murder

The body of a Mingo County woman was found in her vehicle in Laurel Lake late Saturday night and now her boyfriend is charged with murder.

State Troopers had the Jeep Liberty pulled from the lake Sunday morning and identified the body of Evelyn Joyce Farnum, 55, of Lenore. She’d been missing since Dec. 30.

State Police arrested and charged Donald Kevin Medley, 55, of Lenore with murder Saturday night. Troopers say he was Farnum’s boyfriend. He’s in the Southwestern Regional Jail.

Troopers also charged Medley’s brother, Greg Medley, 44, with concealment of a body.
