Home invasion investigation in Kanawha County

Sheriff’s deputies in Kanawha County are looking for two men who allegedly entered a house near St. Albans Monday morning waving guns.

Deputies say resident Taylor Womack, 18, of Maryland Ave. told them the partially disguised men entered an unlocked window at about 4:30 a.m. but ran from the residence a short time later after a child had escaped the house and called 911.

Sheriff’s deputies say Womack told them a shot was fired at the house as the men left. Police did find one round in an exterior wall.

Neither Womack, his girlfriend, another woman nor the child were injured.
