Fatal crash in Nicholas County

A man is dead after a two vehicle crash on Route 20 in Nicholas County Tuesday.

The crash happened just before 1:30 p.m. near Allingdale.

Police say Tony Allen Lough, 25, of Craigsville, lost control of his car, crossed the center-line into oncoming traffic and hit a pickup truck head on.

Lough was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, Patricia Doverspike, 65, of Richwood, was air lifted to CAMC General to be treated for her injuries. Her condition is unknown.

The Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the accident.
