One of the defendants in the Rainelle State Police parking lot arson case will serve his time in a facility for youthful offenders.
A Greenbrier County circuit judge sentenced Nicholas White, 23, of Danese, Friday to six to 24 months at the Anthony Correctional Center in White Sulphur Springs. He pleaded guilty earlier to four counts of arson.
White testified earlier this week against defendant David White. The Meadow Bridge man was convicted on nine counts of retaliation, eight counts of third-degree arson, one count of second degree and three counts of conspiracy.
On Dec. 15, 2011 five vehicles parked at the Rainelle State Police Detachment were destroyed after being set on fire. Three of the five cars had been seized by State Troopers just a few days before the arsons.
David White will be sentenced later this year. Two other defendants still face trial dates.
