WVU student dies in I-79 wreck

A West Virginia University student died in a crash on I-79 in Washington County, Pa. Wednesday.

Police said Sarah Marie Graham, 20, of Frederick, Md., died at the scene of the accident just before the Marianna exit in Amwell.  The accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-79 near mile marker 23 at about 4:30 p.m., authorities said.

The driver of the car lost control and hit a guardrail before a tractor trailer slammed the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.

Graham was a member of Delta Gamma sorority at WVU.  An online student directory listed her as a marketing major.

A candlelight vigil to honor Graham is set for 6 p.m. Friday at the Delta Gamma house in Morgantown.
