Bus driver sexual assault case moves forward

The case against a Fayette County Schools bus driver charged with sexual assault will be heard by a grand jury.

Steven “Rick” Malay, 54, waived his preliminary hearing Friday on charges he sexually abused a teenage girl.

The alleged victim is a 14-year-old Fayette County Schools student.  Malay is charged with third-degree sexual assault and two counts of sexual abuse by a person of trust.
