Two dead in Hardy County crash

Two West Virginia men are dead after a crash in Moorefield Tuesday night.

West Virginia State Police troopers say the one vehicle crash happened along Old Fields Road off of U.S. Route 220. The driver lost control and hit an embankment then hit a tree.

Investigators say the driver and the passenger were killed. The names have not yet been released.

Troopers believe speed may be a factor in the crash. The bodies of both men have been sent to the West Virginia State Medical Examiner’s Office in Charleston.
