Propane truck ignites in Barbour Co.

Video: Barbour County EMS

A Southern States truck carrying up to 4,000 gallons of propane went up in flames near Belington Friday morning.

The fire engulfed the John Sisolak Garage on Talbott road.  Several fire departments responded to the scene, including firefighters from Junior, Beverly, Elkins and Belington.

Talbott remained closed for hours as crews worked to get the blaze under control.

Officials say tanks of acetylene — a flammable gas — was near the fire and made the flames even worse.

No injuries were reported.
