Parkersburg man sentenced on child pornography charges

A Parkersburg man is heading to federal prison for possession of child pornography.

According to a news release from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin’s Office, Terry David McVey, 60, was sentenced Monday to six and a half years in prison on child pornography charges.

According to the release, McVey admitted to collecting at least 300 but fewer than 600 images of children having sex or engaged in sexual acts. The images were found on McVey’s computer after he had downloaded it from the internet.

McVey previously plead guilty to the federal charge last December.
