WVU unveils ‘tentative’ depth chart

Sophomore Nick Kwiatkoski is listed as the starter at Will linebacker on the first depth chart released by West Virginia.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia released its first depth chart of spring practice Thursday night, though coach Dana Holgorsen cautioned against reading too much into it, saying he did it primarily because “media relations needed something for the spring game.”

“Just understand that it’s very, very tentative,” Holgorsen said. “It could change on a day-to-day basis. We haven’t even talked to guys about being starters.”

Given the annual spate of position changes, Holgorsen said the depth chart would at least prove useful temporarily for clarifying where certain players are competing. But he said even that can change as players continue shuffling.
