Shady Spring basketball standout Chase Connor will officially be a walk-on with WVU. Conner received the offer from Mountaineer assistant coach Larry Harrison on Sunday afternoon, which he quickly accepted.

Connor led Class AAA this past season averaging 27 points per game. The 6-foot-1 guard on Saturday scored nine points in the Scott Brown Memorial Classic, playing alongside WVU signees Nathan Adrian, Devin Williams, Elijah Macon and Brandon Watkins.

Connor originally committed to Radford last year. However, after breaking his leg in August, he took some time to reconsider his options and look at other offers.

The important thing is all of these kids are excited to get here and they are excited to play together. Let's just hope the current roster accepts them. You're looking at a potential NC contender in the next two years.

He already may be the best "pure shooter" on the roster.

Terry Henderson is the best pure shooter without question, but I love this guy's game. I just don't want him to be like Paul Williamson of last season

He can shoot and he can pass. Welcome aboard.
