Chase Connor a preferred walk-on with WVU

Shady Spring basketball standout Chase Connor will officially be a walk-on with WVU. Conner received the offer from Mountaineer assistant coach Larry Harrison on Sunday afternoon, which he quickly accepted.

Connor led Class AAA this past season averaging 27 points per game. The 6-foot-1 guard on Saturday scored nine points in the Scott Brown Memorial Classic, playing alongside WVU signees Nathan Adrian, Devin Williams, Elijah Macon and Brandon Watkins.

Connor originally committed to Radford last year. However, after breaking his leg in August, he took some time to reconsider his options and look at other offers.
