Gold-Blue spring game details

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia released details for fans attending the Gold-Blue spring football game Saturday at 2 p.m. at Milan Puskar Stadium. Instead of a true split-squad format, the defense will make up the Blue team, while the offense will represent the Gold squad.

♦ Gates open at 1 p.m.

♦ Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the Milan Puskar Stadium north and west gates on game day with cash or a check. Tickets also can be purchased in advance online at WVUGAME.com or at the Mountaineer Ticket Office located in the WVU Coliseum. WVU students will be admitted free with a valid ID. A portion of the proceeds will benefit WVU Children’s Hospital.

♦ Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online and select the print-at-home option so they can avoid long lines at the stadium on game day.

♦ All fans, including WVU students, should enter the stadium through the north and west gates. There will be no stadium re-entry passes issued for the game. Stadium seating, restrooms and concessions will be open on the west upper and lower side only. Beer sales will conclude at the beginning of the second half.

♦ The following east side parking lots are available for parking for this year’s Gold-Blue Game: F1, F2, F3, F4, D and E. The following hospital parking lots on the west side are available: A, A2, M2, K1, K3 and L. All parking lots will open at 8 a.m. Saturday.

♦ The center and west lots of the large Blue hospital parking areas (hospital parking lots C1-C7 and B) are reserved for hospital parking only and will not be available. Fans are asked to observe and respect all current hospital construction areas throughout the parking lots.

♦ All parking for cars and RVs is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

♦ The school will host its Mountaineer Gear sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility. Authentic Mountaineers football and basketball gear from the past five years will be on sale to the public.

♦ The Puskar Center Hall of Traditions will not be open Saturday.

♦ Fans are reminded that umbrellas are not permitted inside the stadium.

♦ There will not be an autograph session following the game, and fans will not be permitted on the field. WVU football will conduct its annual Fan Day in August with details being released later this summer.
