A Marshall County high school student faces DUI with death charges following a crash that killed his passenger.

Marshall County Sheriff Kevin Cecil said Logan Christman, 18, of Benwood, was driving his truck on McCreary’s Ridge Road at about 2 a.m. Saturday when he lost control and the truck flipped over.

A passenger in the vehicle, Kenneth King, 19, of Wheeling, was thrown from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene. Christman remained hospitalized Sunday night.

Cecil said Christman was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the wreck.

An investigation into the crash continues.

How can this be? I thought there were “feel good” laws that kept alcohol and drugs out of the hands of these children! What to do? What to do? Here’s an idea! Start charging these people to the fullest extent of every law they break. Stop coddling these kids and their parents.
