Marshall Co. sheriff: Deadly crash alcohol-related

A Marshall County high school student faces DUI with death charges following a crash that killed his passenger.

Marshall County Sheriff Kevin Cecil said Logan Christman, 18, of Benwood, was driving his truck on McCreary’s Ridge Road at about 2 a.m. Saturday when he lost control and the truck flipped over.

A passenger in the vehicle, Kenneth King, 19, of Wheeling, was thrown from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene. Christman remained hospitalized Sunday night.

Cecil said Christman was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the wreck.

An investigation into the crash continues.
