Crash claims life of Boone County man

A Boone County man is dead after rear ending a big truck on U.S. Route 119.

Boone County deputies identify the victim as David Fraker, 27, of Julian.

He died when his vehicle slammed into the back of a semi which was traveling on the highway without a trailer Tuesday night around 9:30.

Fraker’s vehicle hit the truck, the overturned several times.

Investigators say they found prescription pills in his vehicle which were prescribed to Fraker. They are awaiting autopsy results to determine if the medicine could have impaired Fraker and caused the wreck.

The truck driver and two passengers in the semi tractor were not injured.

The crash happened near the intersection of Tricorn Road south of Danville.
