Republicans focus on outreach

The Republican National Committee has a plan for better engagement.

On Monday, RNC Growth and Opportunity Co-Chair Sharon Day was in West Virginia to talk about the effort which includes a $10 million investment in outreach.

“To reach out to every single voter across America, whether that be to the Hispanic community, the black community, the Asian community, our youth, urban voters, wherever that may be,” Sharon Day said on Monday’s MetroNews Talkline.

“We’ve got a good message.  We’ve got a strong message.  Our principles are strong.  Our values are strong.  We just need more messengers.”

The recommendations in the Growth and Opportunity Report address messaging, demographic partners, polling, relationships with third party groups, fundraising, campaign finance and the primary process.

RNC Chairman Reince Preibus commissioned the report after the 2012 elections.  The goal of it to help Republican win future elections.
