Columbus man returned to WV on double shooting charges

The Columbus, Ohio man wanted for allegedly shooting and wounding two men inside the 7-Eleven store on West Washington Street back on April 20th is back in Charleston to face attempted murder charges.

Antonio “Shake” Collins, 32, was arraigned on Tuesday.  He had to be extradited back to West Virginia following his arrest in Columbus which came less than 24 hours after the shootings.

Investigators say Collins bumped into Joshua Lawson, 23, of Charleston at the 7-Eleven at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday.  Lawson was shot in the head.  Lawson’s friend, Patrick Moore, Jr., 22, was shot after running to the back of the store.

Charleston Police are working to determine the motive.
