Keyser’s Wilmer gets chance with Chargers

Fairmont State receiver and return specialist Matt Wilmer will get a chance in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers. Wilmer, a former standout at Keyser High, made the announcement Tuesday night on Twitter.

Wilmer finished this past season with Fairmont State totaling 1,445 all-purpose yards through 10 games. As a high school senior with Keyser, Wilmer rushed for 1,141 yards and scored 20 touchdowns back in 2008.
