Court hearings in Jackson County Lizon case

RIPLEY, W.Va. — A Jackson County woman will remain in jail on child concealment charges after appearing before a magistrate Monday.

Stephanie Lizon agreed to continue her hearing for now. Her husband, Peter Lizon, was placed on home confinement after going before a magistrate on obstruction charges.

The couple were arrested last month after police said Stephanie Lizon took the couple’s young son from her parents in the Washington, D.C., area. Her parents have full custody of the Lizons’ son.

Peter Lizon allegedly lied to police about his wife and son being at his house in Leroy.

The Lizons’ home was burned down last week while they were in jail. Three people are in custody.
