Teenager dies in Randolph County crash

ELKINS, W.Va. — A teenager was killed in accident Tuesday night in Randolph County.

The accident happened around 10 p.m.

Authorities said Brent Lewellen, 18, of Dry Fork, was traveling on Route 32 from Harman toward Dry Fork when he drove off the road, struck an embankment and a tree. His vehicle then flipped over on its top.

The Harman Volunteer Fire Department, and Randolph County EMS responded to the wreck.

Lewellen was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe speed and weather may have played a factor in the accident.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office was conducting the investigation.
