Stonewall Jackson Memorial rededicated

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin was in Clarksburg Friday afternoon for the rededication of the Stonewall Jackson Memorial at the Harrison County Courthouse.

Harrison County has several activities scheduled in connection with the state’s 150th birthday.

Jackson was born Jan. 21, 1824 in Clarksburg, which was in the state of Virginia at the time.

Jackson was one of the best known Confederate generals in the Civil War.
