Legislative interims getting off to slow start

The monthly legislative interim committee meetings will get off to a very slow start this month at the state capitol as only three meetings are scheduled through Wednesday.

The legislature’s Post Audit Subcommittee is set to meet Monday afternoon, the Commission on Special Investigations Tuesday afternoon and the Joint Committee on Government and Finance Wednesday.

Members of the House of Delegates and state Senate are scheduled to go on the road next month for interim meetings. They will be in Wheeling the week of June 20 to celebrate the state’s 150th birthday.
