A close call on I-64 bridge

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – An Interstate 64 motorist had a close call Sunday afternoon on a busy bridge.

This car was left hanging over the barrier wall on the I-64 Carter Bridge Sunday in Charleston.

Charleston police said the driver lost control heading across the Eugene A. Carter Memorial Bridge at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, leaving the car hanging over the barrier wall.

The driver escaped the dangling car with no injuries.

The interstate was closed for a period of time.
