Body found in Kanawha County home

The discovery of a body in a home in Kanawha County is being investigated as a homicide.

At around 1:45 p.m. Monday, Metro 911 received a call from a male who said he saw a deceased man’s body in a mobile home on Darlington Lane in Elkview. The man caller noticed the body while peering through a window.

Kanawha County sheriff’s deputies later identified the body as belonging to 28 year old David Lemons, the owner of the residence. Police said Lemons lived alone at the residence and was the only body found.

Lemon’s body has been sent to Medical Examiner’s Office to undergo an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Detectives are still processing the crime scene. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office 24-hour tip line.
