Top-100 center considering Herd

Released from his LOI by Baylor, Dominic Woodson reportedly is focusing on Memphis and Marshall.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Huntington Prep center Dominic Woodson’s decision not to attend Baylor has Marshall in the running for the top-100 prospect.

The 6-foot-9, 300-pound center, who was released from his letter of intent by Baylor, is now considering Memphis and Marshall, according to a report by Grant Traylor of The Herald-Dispatch. Scouts have lauded Woodson for his jump-shooting and mobility, traits atypical for a player with his bulk.

A four-star recruit rated by Rivals as the class of 2013’s No. 9 center prospect (and No. 80 overall), Woodson backed out on Baylor when 7-foot freshman Isaiah Austin and 6-10 junior Corey Jefferson opted to return to school. Apparently, neither the Bears nor Woodson expected both big men to stay in college.
