Pleasants man accused of attempted murder in shooting

A Pleasants County man was charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting and wounding the man who was reportedly dating his wife.

Investigators in Washington County, Ohio, said 35-year-old Michael Good of St. Marys used a Facebook picture to track the victim, Richard Carter, 24, from Parkersburg to a boat dock in Newport, Ohio, on Sunday night.

Carter was fishing with his own wife at the time when Good allegedly showed up and shot Carter twice.

Carter was in critical condition at Charleston Area Medical Center.

Good was arrested on Monday morning.
