Kimball resident big winner in Lottery’s Daily 4 drawing

KIMBALL, W. Va.– A Kimball resident wins big in Thursday night’s Daily 4 drawing.

West Virginia Lottery Director John Musgrave announced Friday that Larry Hughes claimed a total of $302,600 in winnings from the Daily 4 game.

This is an unusual occurrence since the top prize of the game is $5,000.

In a lottery release, Hughes said his secret was to play the numbers 1-2-3-4 on a straight bet ticket 60 times and once as a straight/box, to be exact.

It wasn’t the first time Hughes has played the West Virginia Lottery’s Daily 4. He has been playing since it started and has never missed a day, according to the release.

Hughes purchased all 61 lucky tickets at the Bantam Market in Welch.
