One dead after ATV crash

MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. — A weekend ATV accident killed a Marshall County man and injured a Pennsylvania woman.

Marshall County Sheriff Kevin Cecil said speed and alcohol contributed to the crash on Limestone Dallas Road Saturday night.

Deputies have identified the driver as Allen Pethel Jr., 28, of Moundsville. He ran off the road and hit a tree. Pethel was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger, Tammy Callahan, 43, of Industry, Pa., is in stable condition at a Pittsburgh hospital.
