PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — Several thousand West Virginians participated Saturday in the annual effort to cleanup the Ohio River. The Ohio River Sweep took place at 19 sites in 10 different counties.

The state DEP provided supplies and t-shirts to the many volunteers. One of the largest crowds turned out at Point Park in Parkersburg.
