Wanted suspect arrested in Tennessee

Tevin “Smook” Williams

NASHVILLE, Tn. — A man wanted for a violent robbery in Kanawha County turned himself into authorities in Tennessee.

Tevin Christopher “Smook” Williams gave himself up to Nashville, Tennessee police on Sunday. He’s wanted in Kanawha County for a home invasion in the Rand community.

Deputeis say Williams knocked on the door of a home on Elaine Drive last week. When the homeowner opened the door, Williams allegedly asked to use the phone, but soon pushed his way into the house. Once inside deputies say he fired a shot into the wall and made off with cash and prescription pills.

He’s lodged in a Tennessee jail awaiting extradition back to West Virginia. He faces charges of armed robbery in the case.
