BECKLEY, W. Va.– Parts of Raleigh County are dealing with some localized flooding and high water after a storm rolled through the area late Monday night.

The National Weather Service had issued a Flood Warning for central Raleigh County Monday night that expired at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Meteorologists with the NWS reported that anywhere from an inch and a half to two inches of rain had fell in the central part of the county due to a strong storm that stalled south of Beckley.

Dispatchers in Raleigh County reported getting around 20 calls of flooding and high water from residents. Around 13 calls reported trees being down on the roadways.

Meteorologists expected the rain would come to an end around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
