MORGANTOWN, W.Va. —The longtime president and chief executive officer of WVU Hospitals has announced his retirement.
Bruce McClymonds, who has held the position since 1997, will retire next year.
“Bruce has been a strong leader for WVU Hospitals, as Ruby Memorial and the West Virginia United Health System have grown to provide West Virginians with access to high quality healthcare, regardless of income,” WVU President Jim Clements said in a prepared statement.
McClymonds will stay on until next May. The WVUH Board will conduct a nationwide search.
